DJ Tiesto "Escape Me"

this is the opening shot of the music video it is of the location where the video will be shot. here they have used blue LED pillars for a lighting effect to brighten the dark room. the lights flash with the music in a strobe effect to give the shot more excitement.

 This shot is of the singer for the song the shot is very mysterious as she is staring to the right at something that we can't see. this shot uses a dull lighting effect which is in red and makes the scene mysterious as it only lights up the singers face

 in this shot the main artist (DJ Tiesto) is shown as he holds a flare in his hand.he holds the flare above him as if hes is lighting the way as the rest of the room is pitch black. the flare gives off a very unusual lighting effect as it constantly changes brightness. this random glow also causes a lens flare which adds to the effect.

 this shot shows the singer with a guitarist and a drummer as they produce the music. the people in the shot hve been shadowed out as you can only see their outline. the shot used two types of lighting effects one of which are platform lights which have been placed on a wall and are coloured white. the second effect is by a disco light which is coloured blue and goes trough a number of effects.

this shot shows the guitarist as she puts on here guitar and gets ready to play. the shot uses the platform lights to show the performers in more detail as they start to play. from this shot we can also see that th1ey are dressed in casual clothing as if they are going to a night club which represent the music which they are playing.

this shot shows DJ Tiesto as he produces/mixes the music on his DJ equipment the shot moves to his face to show that it is him. he unlike other people in the video is wearing brighter clothing which tends to stand out.the lighting used in this shot is white to show more detail.

 This shot has the main singer and DJ Tiesto in it although it tends to blur DJ Tiesto out as he is in the background and is out of focus. this shows that the video isn't all about him but of the people who helped him make it. the shot uses what looks like a white spot light as the shot is very bright.

this shot is the exact same as the first shot except for the fact that the colour from the LED pillars have changed from blue to red and that the set is all lit up with spot lights so we can see the back wall.

Overall

This music video for DJ Tiesto's song "Escape Me" uses shots of mainly the singer and producers of the song as they play/mix/create the song. the shots used in this video are very repetitive as you tend to see similar shots throughout the video one of these shots would be DJ Tiesto holding a flare as it is seen many times at different part on the video.the lighting used throughout this video is very colourful and tends to mainly use a strobe effect which flashes in sync with the music. this type of lighting also give the video more excitement as it makes it jumpy as i quickly cuts trough shot with the lights.
