Calvin Harris (I'm Not Alone)

For the opening shot of this music video it shows a young boy as he walks trough a wooded area which is covered in snow this shot shows that the boy is lost and is wondering around the woods which fits in with the song. the lighting used in this shot is natural daylight.

this shot shows the boy as he walks away from the camera pulling a sled with his teddy on it this shot also shows us that he is lost as the two shots together form an establishing shot which shows us where he is.. this shot also uses natural light.

here we see the boy sitting by a fire with his teddy and behind him and the trees is what looks kike a building showing that there is a light(the fire) and he is going home ( the building). the lighting used in this shot is mainly natural light although there is also some light being produced from the fire.

here is a shot of Calvin Harris in some sort of lab as he looks at each girl which from the clip makes them look like his test subjects. he is wearing a lab coat to enhance the lab scene. the lighting used in this shot if from floor lights as the roof of the room is a lot darker than the floor.

this shot shows Calvin Harris as he mixes chemical together which are likely to be colour dies to show that he is making some sort of medicine and from the previous shot it makes you believe that it is something to cure the women that he has as test subjects. the lighting used for this shot is the same as the previous shot as it is floor lighting.

here is a shot of Calvin Harris as he walks towards the women (test subjects) to give them the medicine that he has created. Theres smoke coming from the test tube which put in your mind that the chemicals are lethal/dangerous. the lighting used in this shot is from the bottom right of the floor as the rest of the room is darker.

here Calvin Harris remixes his potion/ cure as the previous didn't work. here he stares at the bottle as if a reaction is happening before retesting it. the lighting used for this shot unlike previous shot appears to be coming from the light in the room or an overhead light.

here is a point of view shot for the boy who is looking at the building trough the trees that we saw at the start of the video. this shot shows the lab to be a medieval building as it is very old fashioned and looks like something you would usually see in a horror film. the lighting used in this shot appears to be natural light accept for the flood lights on the building.

This music video uses a storyline to explain the song as it works with the lyrics as a lost boy is wondering around the woods and find a building with lights which works with "when i see a light flashing i know that I'm not alone".
