Code and Conventions For A Music Video

Now that I have analysed these music videos I have found that most of the videos codes and conventions

  • Were these of CGI to give the clip an effect or just to make it unusual or unique.
  •  These videos also involve someone (mainly the artist) walking down a street or path on quite sections of the song where it then changes to a more interesting shot on louder part where the artist is seen in a club or room singing or playing along.
  • A intro into the song is usually used to tell the viewer the name of the song and the artist.
  • These videos are either bright or dark and don't use both contrasts.
  • The videos also include some sort of storyline to interest the viewer whilst they watch the music video.
